My SoulSilver Journey Reaches Olivine City!
Hey everyone, and welcome back to Jadon & Sirfetch'd! I'm switching gears a little bit today.
SoulSilver Adventure: From New Bark Town to Olivine City – My Journey So Far!
You know I love to share my Pokémon adventures, and today I'm diving into my ongoing playthrough of Pokémon SoulSilver
My adventure began, as all good Johto stories do, in New Bark Town. I chose my trusty starter, Totodile (who has since evolved into the powerful Croconaw!), and set off on my quest to become the Pokémon Champion.
I've battled my way through familiar routes and towns, catching a variety of Pokémon to build my team. The early gyms were a good challenge, helping my Pokémon grow stronger and learn new moves. I've been focusing on building a balanced team, and it's been exciting to see how they've developed.
One of the highlights so far was definitely exploring the National Park and participating in the Bug-Catching Contest. It's always a fun diversion, and I managed to snag some great Pokémon there like a rare find Scyther!!! I also had a blast navigating the mysteries of the Sprout Tower and Bellsprout Tower, pushing my team to their limits.
I've explored the vibrant Goldenrod City, where I spent some time at the Game Corner and challenged the formidable Whitney at the Gym. That Miltank was tough, but we prevailed! After that, it was a journey through the Radio Tower events and then on to the historical Ecruteak City. The Ghost-type gym was a spooky but exciting challenge, and I enjoyed delving into the lore of the Legendary Beasts.
And now, I've officially reached Olivine City! This port town is bustling, with the scent of the sea in the air and the iconic Olivine Lighthouse standing tall. I'm currently making my way up the lighthouse, helping out the Ampharos inside, and battling trainers along the way. It's a great opportunity to get some experience for my team. The ocean routes, Route 40 and Route 41, have also opened up, giving me new areas to explore and new Water-type Pokémon to encounter. Here's the link for the walkthrough.

My Current SoulSilver Team: Ready for Anything!
My team has been absolutely essential in getting me this far. They're a diverse bunch, and each one brings something unique to the table. Here’s a quick look at my current lineup:
Croconaw (Water): My starter, now a formidable force, around Level 26-28. It's got Water Gun, Surf (essential for those water routes!), Bite, and Ice Fang.
Flaaffy (Electric): My electrifying companion, around Level 22-24. It's shocking the competition with Thundershock, Cotton Spore, Rock Smash (super handy!), and Flash.
Ledyba (Bug/Flying): This little bug is still growing, Level 15-18. Don't underestimate It, though, with Light Screen, Reflect, Comet punch, and Attract, It will offer crucial support.
Noctowl (Normal/Flying): My wise night owl, around Level 22-24. It's a solid airborne presence with Confusion, Hypnosis, Peck, and Roost.
Sentret (Normal): My loyal furry scout, also around Level 22-24. It's incredibly versatile with Fury Swipes, Shadow Ball, Shadow Claw, and Cut (another key HM!).
Sudowoodo (Rock): The living tree I encountered and caught, at Level 22-24. It's
a sturdy defender with Low Kick, Mimic, Rock Throw, and Strength.
